Please note – Due to the nature of our academic program, The Rock School cannot accept any new students for 12th grade. 

Previously Applied to or Attended TRS?

PRESCHOOL: Submit this form to roll over your previous application from the waiting list.

New Applicant?

  1. Visit therock.school/apply and create an account.
  2. Once logged in, select Create a New Student Application. 
  3. Complete all sections
  4. Submit and pay the $30 non-refundable application fee per student. 

Applications for grades K-11 are only complete when all supporting documentation has been submitted.

  • Current school transcript
  • Standardized Test Scores (FAST/FSA, EOC, MAP, PSAT, IOWA etc.), if not included on transcript
  • Educational/Diagnostic or Psychological Evaluation Results (IEP, 504, etc.), if applicable
  • Teacher recommendation form 

What Happens Next?

Once your application is complete (including all supporting documentation), it will begin progressing through the admission process. You will receive one of the following notices, generally within 2-3 weeks of submission (beginning in February):

  • Educational Consultation Invitation – for applications that meet initial eligibility requirements AND there is a projected opening in that grade level
  • Applicant Pool – for applications that meet initial eligibility requirements, but there is not a current projected opening in that grade level
  • Denial – for applications that do not meet initial eligibility requirements

 

Please note – Preschool and K-11 applications are processed separately and you will receive separate communication about admission status.

Due to high demand for admission, Tours and Educational Consultations will only be offered to families who have completed applications and we have a projected opening in that grade level.

Confirm Admissions Eligibility

  1. The student must be at least 16 years old.
  2. The student must be entering grade 10 or 11. 
  3. The student must have high English proficiency. 
  4. The international student’s guardian must have permanent or established residency in the United States. A visitor’s visa does not meet this requirement. 

The Rock School does not provide boarding or host families. All living arrangements are the responsibility of the student’s family.

How to Apply

  1. Visit therock.school/apply and create an account.
  2. Once logged in, select Create a New Student Application. 
  3. Complete all sections
  4. Submit and pay the $100 non-refundable application fee per student. 

Applications for international students are only complete when all supporting documentation has been submitted.

  • School Transcript, translated to English
  • Student’s Passport information page
  • Proof of Funds documentation (bank statement and/or letter of support)
  • Local guardian contact information, if the student will live with someone other than the parents
  • Email address for at least one current teacher who can complete a recommendation form
  • Zoom Interview, to assess English proficiency
  • Other English proficiency evaluations may be required

What Happens Next?

Once your application is complete and the student interview has been completed, an admission decision will be made within 2-3 weeks (beginning in February). If accepted, the student will receive an acceptance letter and I-20. 

April 15 – Preferred Application Deadline for International Students

June 5 – Final Application Deadline for International Students

Siblings receive priority consideration for open seats, but enrollment is not guaranteed. Exact availability won’t be known until withdrawals are submitted by current students.

  • Current school transcript
  • Name and email address of 1-2 current homeroom or core subject teachers to complete a
    recommendation form
  • Updated test scores, if available (FAST/FSA, EOC, MAP, PSAT, IOWA etc.)
  • Updated student support documents, if applicable (504, IEP, diagnosis, psych-ed evaluation, etc.) 

New Applicant?

  1. Log into your account at therock.school/parentsweb, district code TRS-FL.
  2. Select Apply/Enroll from the left menu, then select Application (New Student).  
  3. Complete all sections
  4. Submit and pay the $30 non-refundable application fee per student.

  • Invitation to Enroll – application is accepted and there is a projected opening in that grade level
  • Waiting Pool – application will remain in consideration until there is an opening in that grade level
  • Denial – for applications that do not meet eligibility requirements

KEY DATES

  • October – Admissions Opens!
  • January 8 – Deadline for Sibling Early Application Window
  • January 15 – Deadline for First Round of Consideration
    • February – First round of Educational Consultation invitations sent
    • Notices of enrollment status to be sent within 2-3 weeks of your appointment
  • April 15 – Deadline for Second Round of Consideration
    • May – Second round of Educational Consultation invitations sent
    • Notices of enrollment status to be sent within 2-3 weeks of your appointment
  • May-August – Rolling admission for any remaining seats
